Plainfield Provides For Expense Of Ambulance

The Town of Plainfield Board met last month for their regular meeting.
Supervisor Todd Lewis opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.
A public hearing was scheduled to receive resident input on the preliminary 2026 budget.
There were no attendees.
The Board reviewed the preliminary budget and made no changes before approving it.
Dale Brown, Deputy Highway Superintendent, said the hauling of winter sand is complete with 140 truckloads.
All three plow trucks have been serviced and have passed state inspection The 1988 Badger Gradall has been sold.
New Highway employee Doug Herring is learning the job.
Brown said he has been elected Town of Winfield Highway Superintendent and will assume those duties Jan. 1.
Balance sheets, Monthly budget vs. Actual and monthly disbursements were reviewed and approved.
October minutes were approved.
Highway Abstract of $14,598.30 and General Abstract of $2,384.76 were approved for payment.
At the September meeting discussions were held to assist the Village of West Winfield with ambulance costs.
The Board decided to allocate $3,000 to the Village.
Otsego County is putting together a collage mural at the County Clerks office.
The collage will feature a photo that highlights a unique feature of all the Towns in the County.
The Board decided to submit a photo of the Town’s war memorial monument.
Town Clerk Jon Cockett is updating the agreement between the Town and Highway Department.
It was requested to have Board members review and submit any changes.
The Board congratulated Brown on his election as Town of Winfield Highway Superintendent.
He was thanked for his service here and wished well in his new duties.
