Plainfield Banners Placed

The Regular meeting of the Plainfield Town Board was May 8.


Supervisor Todd Lewis opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.


Highway Deputy Supervisor Dale Brown said a licensed engineer is needed to inspect the bridge over Pritchard Road to get proper load rating.


Fischer Engineering has been recommended.


The Bassett Road right of way issue with landowner was settled.


The Town will assist the owner to conform to guidelines agreed on.


The second issue on Bassett Road with the drainage pipe installation was addressed with the landowner.


Proper setbacks must be adhered to before the Town will install the pipe.


The Town will purchase a culvert pipe for a Griffith Road resident.


The original pipe was inadvertently destroyed by highway equipment.


The Gradall bucket is in need of repair.


Brown will contact a welder to make repairs.


Lewis asked Brown to get a quote to rent a brush mower for road sidelines.


It may prove cost effective.


Balance sheets, Monthly budget vs. Actual and monthly disbursements were received from the town bookkeeper and accepted.


Town Clerk Jon Cockett presented Town Clerk report for April.


Sixty dollars was received for sales of certified copies.


April minutes were approved.


Highway Abstract for $78,769.77 and the General Abstract of $5,945.81 were accepted.


The 14 Hometown Heroes banners are in.
