Plainfield Approves Winter Fuel Bids

A Public Hearing and Regular meeting of the Plainfield Town Board were Nov. 10 in the Town Hall.


The Public Hearing concerned the Final 2023 Budget. There were no members of the public attending.


The Board approved the budget.


Assessor John Davidson reported he is working on splits and transfers as well as checking the status of the solid waste user fees, checking on new construction and renovations. More of the latter will have to be done closer to taxable status.


Highway Superintendent Rod Jennison reported that the trucks are ready to go for the winter. The crew is cutting back shoulders on the roads.


The October Town Clerk reports, Minutes and Abstracts were all presented and approved by the Board.


The roof over the Town Hall is in need of minor repair and will be tended to.


The fuel bids were opened. Buell Fuels won the bid and the Board approved the bid for fixed net pricing.


A Resolution was made and passed by the Board for transfer of funds.
