The Greater Winfield Historical Society will meet Monday, Oct. 20, 3 p.m. at the West Winfield Library.
The meeting will also be available on Zoom.
Wade Lallier is coming back for another informative, educational and local story.
This past June, Lallier's topic was The Adolph Ptak story, a Hellcat pilot who mysteriously went missing on a training mission in 1945.
This month Lallier will be speaking about a World War II pilot from Clark Mills, Stan Bird, who flew the B-26 and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
Stan Ptake and Adolph Ptak were brothers. Lallier is a resident of Waterville, holds a bachelor's degree from Syracuse University.
He is the author of "The Chenango Canal, The Million Dollar Ditch."
He is currently president of the Clinton Historical Society.
