The new pavilion recreation building at the Maple Avenue Park in Oriskany Falls will move into the bid stage.

Oriskany Falls Village Board members last week reviewed the architect design for the building that will replace the pavilion at the Park.

Board members discussed whether to put the construction of the new building out as one project or to break it down into the components.

Mayor Colin Idzi said they would first search for a general contractor and see what happens.

Board members also discussed what to do with the current pavilion.

One option is to offer it for auction to be disassembled and picked up.

In other matters Board members approved Spencer Pisaneschi as a new member of the Oriskany Falls Fire Department.

Codes Officer Gary Schreppel handed out some violations for people parking their vehicles on the sidewalk.

DPW Superintendent Geoff Stevens said the Department of Environmental Conservation will do an inspection of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Nov. 3.

Pump 3 was repaired and is working like it is supposed to, he said.

A new water service line was put in for a barn on Barker Road. Board members talked about buying more speed zone signs.

The first payment for a housing survey in the Village was approved.
