As part of the Sept. 11 ceremony at Clinton Central School today, 56 bricks will be dedicated at the Brick Garden Ceremony.
The Garden dates back to 1993 when it was built to symbolize the loyalty and commitment of residents, students, and alumni of the Clinton Central School District.
Access to the Gardens has been enhanced with the installation of a new brick walkway, an Eagle Scout Project initiated by student Sydney Labayewski, new flagpole donated by community member and new lighting.
The Garden also contains a memorial to Clinton graduate Edward Felt, who died on United Flight 93 Sept. 11, 2001.
The Clinton Fire Department will lead a ceremony to remember the victims of that day starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The fire department will gather with members of Clinton Central School and the community to honor those who lost their lives Sept. 11, 2001.
Clinton Fire Department will help first responders afflicted with a life-threatening illness by donating the proceeds of their Sept. 22 chicken barbecue to Believe 271.
The organization provides financial support to first responders in Oneida and Herkimer counties with an illness that is life-threatening.
The barbecue will be sold at Clinton Firehouse 1 on Park Row starting at noon.
