Mount Markham Hosts Sectional Meet

Every school in Section Three that has a cross-country team spent part of Saturday at Mount Markham High School for the sectional meet.

Schools ran in boys and girls divisions based on their classification, starting in the morning and ending in the afternoon.

For each class, the top school with the best placement of runners advances to Saturday’s state cross-country meet at Queensbury High School near Glens Falls.

In addition, the top five runners in each class move on to represent Section Three at the meet.

Also Saturday, the remarkable season by the Richfield Springs/Owen D. Young girls soccer team ended in regional play.
