Local Groups Given Grants

The following groups recently received funding from outside sources:


The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties awarded $2.5 million to non-profits, including $5,000 to the Kirkland Art Center for its new culinary arts program;


State Sen. Joe Griffo announced construction grants for public libraries, including Clayville Library Association for $4,050 for the installation of French drains on each side of the library building to mitigate current water runoff issues;


The Community Foundation’s Hero Fund America Fund awarded $10,000, including Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Clinton - $1,000 to purchase new supplies for its training center and classes.
