Rabbi Didy Waks lights six candles last week on the menorah on the Clinton Village Green for the community celebration of Hanukkah. The eight candles symbolize the eight days the small amount of oil burned until more could be purified. The event included latkes, jelly-filled doughnuts and a chocolate coin drop by the Clinton Fire Department for kids.
