At last week’s Town Board meeting, the discussion continued on whether the 5 p.m. start prevented people from attending.

About a dozen residents were at the meeting with most of them speaking about concerns on solar commercial projects in the Town.

Councilwoman Tami Seaman said she has spoken to a lot of residents who say they work until 5 or 5:30 p.m. and cannot make the meetings.

People in the town can weigh in starting April 1 through the month. People will need to provide a name and address so only votes of town residents are counted.

Colarusso said based on the feedback, the Board will discuss the time change in May.

Also at the meeting, Town Supervisor Garry Colarusso read a Proclamation designating June 22 a Day of Remembrance in Kirkland on the one-year anniversary of the tornado that killed three residents in Clark Mills.
