Jones, Brutsky Lead MM Class Of 2026

Victor Zampetti, Mount Markham High School Principal, announced the 2026 Mount Markham Central School Valedictorian and Salutatorian.

Valedictorian is Owen Jones and Esther Brutsky is the Salutatorian.

Jones, son of Daniel and Anne-Marie Jones of West Winfield, will attend SUNY Geneseo majoring in Accounting.

Jones will graduate with 44 college credits having taken College Chemistry, College Pre-Calculus, College Spanish I and II, College CPR/First Aid, College Macroeconomics and College American Government through Herkimer College’s College Now program.

His rigorous course load included A.P. European History, A.P. English Language and Composition, A.P. US History, A.P. English Literature and Composition, A.P. Calculus AB and A.P. Biology.

Jones has a long list of awards and activities in and out of school. He has been a member of National Honor Society since his Sophomore year and Class treasurer all four years.

Jones received the Top Student Award all four years of high school and the Above 90 Average Academic Award all four years.

He received academic awards such as Outstanding Student in: College American History, Earth Science, English 9 Honors, English 10 Honors, Global History I Honors, Health, Precalculus, Spanish II, Physical Education, Chemistry, ...
