Otsego County Office for the Aging has announced the availability of funds to assist homeowners, age 60 and older, who rent lot space, with the cost of home repairs such as roofing, plumbing, electrical and flooring.
The project is intended to help make necessary home repairs to allow older adults to remain living safely and independently in their home.
To be eligible for this project, homeowners must meet the following minimum criteria:
*Be age 60 or older
*Permanent, year-round resident of Otsego County
*Annual household income may not exceed $38,850 for one person, $44,400 for two persons, $49,950 for three persons or $55,500 for four persons
*Household resources must not exceed $15,000
*Must own and reside in mobile home as permanent residence
*Must reside in a mobile home park with monthly lot rent
