Helping Out

When a cyberattack on the Colonial Pipeline that supplies fuel to about half of the East Coast shut down the supply, resources were called in to send gas to Southern states that rely heavily on the fuel source. Buell Fuels of Deansboro sent four trucks carrying 50,000 gallons of diesel and gas to Atlanta, Ga. and Greenville, S.C. Buell, which runs a fleet of 50 trucks, was called Wednesday afternoon and drivers were heading south early the next morning, said Buell employee Garth Curtis. The assist helped alleviate gas shortages for drivers and for places that rely on generators. After Colonial paid a ransom, its records were released by the attackers for use.
