Fred the Barber

Fred’s Barbers Shop at 110 Main St., Waterville, owned by Master Barber Fred Hinderliter, has been keeping the gentlemen of Waterville and surrounding areas looking their best for a total of eight and a half years. Fred’s first location was on West Main Street, but more recently in the old bank building on the corner of White Street and East Main. Fred has been a tonsorial artist for 12 years, and was a tractor-trailer driver for 34 years before that. Some of his most regular visitors are dogs he’s befriended when they’ve stopped by to slurp thirstily from the water bowl he leaves outside the shop in warmer months. “Dogs are loyal companions. I haven’t met a dog I don’t like,” Fred said. Fred’s Barber Shop is open Wednesdays and Fridays 8 to 5, Thursdays 8 to 6, and Saturdays 7 to 1. Call for an appointment at 315-202-4095.
