The Village of Waterville was selected by the Mohawk Valley Regional Economic Development Council to receive a $4.5 million award from New York state Governor Kathy Hochul through the NY Forward program.
Investment from this program will allow Waterville to develop a Strategic
Investment Plan and implement key catalytic projects to advance the community’s vision for downtown improvements.
A Local Planning Committee will oversee the development of the Village of Waterville’s Strategic Investment Plan.
Waterville’s LPC is led by co-chairs Ruben (Gene) Ostrander, Mayor of the Village of Waterville, and Dr. Nancy Pattarini, President and CEO of Paige Marketing and Communications Group and a Mohawk Valley Regional Economic Development Council board member.
The first LPC meeting is open to the public and will be
Wednesday, May 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Village Meeting Room at the Waterville Village Hall.
This meeting will provide an overview of the NY Forward program and planning
process, define the LPC’s role and responsibilities, review Waterville’s NY Forward application, and facilitate a discussion related to the vision and goals for Waterville’s NY Forward program.
Time will be reserved at the end of the meeting for public comment.
