The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 616 of Richfield Springs provided an opportunity for community and American Legion Family members to place flags in honor or memory of a loved one.

After the flag was purchased a tag was added with name, military information and sponsor's name.

Members Amanda Stone and Candice Domion assisted with the preparation of the tags.

Girl Scout Troop 20060 and leaders affixed the tags and placed the flags in Memorial Park one week prior to the Memorial Day program provided by Legion Post 616.

This year, the proceeds will be donated to the Clearpath4Vets in Chittenango.

Ninety-one flags were placed.

A thank you and explanation were provided during the Memorial program.
