This year Mount Markham Central School opened up the Speech and Debate Club to Middle School students in part because of a national-level competition for Middle Schoolers.

Nine students in grades sixth, seventh and eighth participated in competitions.

Two students moved on to the national tournament.

Sixth graders Ariana Baierlein-Wood and Addison Hoke earned fifth place overall in Duo Interpretation at the national tournament with the video they submitted.
