Falling Footsteps On Aug. 22

The Falling Footsteps Road Edition 5K and 1 Mile Walk will be Saturday, Aug. 22.

The run/walk begins and ends at the Richfield Springs Community Center on 6 Ann St. Proceeds benefit the Community Center.

The event, part of the 27th Annual Route 20 Series Road Challenge, consists of a 5K on scenic country roads.

Participants may also opt to do the scenic one-mile walk. The run and walk start promptly at 9 a.m.

Online registration closes Aug. 20 at noon.

Day of registration is from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m.

Registration at the event is: 5K $25, 12 and under $15; 1 mile walk $20, 12 and under $15 Prizes will be awarded to the top three in each age group as well as overall male and female.

Registered participants will be treated to homemade baked goods. Homemade gluten free pies to awardees.

New this year is an Exclusive Sponsor for this yearly fundraiser.

Precisionmatics, West Winfield, has been in business since 1970.

They specialize in the manufacture of precision turned and turn/mill mechanical parts.
