Two new trustees and a mayor will join the Village Board in Richfield Springs next month.
As expected in last week’s Village elections, sole ballot candidate Richard Spencer was elected mayor. He received 109 votes.
Current Mayor Robin Moshier ran for a spot on the Village Board as a trustee rather than run again as mayor. She was elected to the board with 79 votes.
Joining her will be new trustee Ruth Stewart, who received 84 votes. She will replace current Trustee Kevin Putnam, who came in third in the race for the two seats.
James Marzeski received 23 votes for Justice as a write-in candidate. No candidate was listed on the ballot.
In West Winfield, both incumbent trustees running for re-election unopposed on the ballot returned to office. Carl Wheat received 22 votes and 20 votes went to Todd Niederlander.
