A fire in the school on Opening Day at Richfield Springs Central School will lead to the prosecution of the student who started it.
At the Sept. 19 Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Tom Piatti thanked first responders, staff and students for the manner in which they handled the fire on Opening Day.
He also thanked Janine Shulkie and Jeff Busch for their prompt response in the emergency situation and said the student who started the fire will be prosecuted.
He also then talked about the workshop with the Owen D. Young District that included conversations about a combined sports logo and emblem.
He said the districts will work together to obtain consistency and share costs related to athletic uniforms.
