Dates Set For Accepting NY Forward Grant Ideas

A two-hour meeting last week shaped a lot of how the Village of Waterville’s New York Forward grant will progress over the next months.
The meeting of members of the Local Planning Committee, state
representatives and consulting group Laberge allowed the public to attend,
with about 45 people in the audience.
Mayor Gene Ostrander and Nancy Pattarini, who is involved in state development, are co-chairs of the LPC.
Other members: Dan Nichols, Laurie Fuess, Eric Ulinski, Brian Bogan, Rob Marceau, Martine Cook, Dana O’Brien, Terry Tanner, Debbie Conway, Bill Strohmeyer, Ashley Caraher.
Danny Lapin, revitalization specialist with the state, led the meeting.
He opened by discussing how LPC members need to disclose conflicts or perceived conflicts of interest with potential projects.
He also emphasized that the state will guide, but not control, what projects are chosen for approval by Gov. Kathy Hochul. ...
