The Oneida Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution honored eight individuals at their Annual Community Awards Dinner. Among those honored was Dr. Stephen Grimm, Superintendent of Clinton Central School District. He received the DAR Distinguished Citizen Medal which is awarded to citizens who have contributed to the defense, security or freedom of the community, state, or nation in an exceptional manner. To be awarded this medal an individual must demonstrate honor, service, courage, leadership, and patriotism. Dr. Grimm was chosen for this honor by his demonstrated leadership in the Clinton community. Also honored were former Times columnist Hobie Morris, and Times history columnist Richard Williams.
