The 19th edition of Cruise In to Waterville came off as another success.
Waterville Village Board members spoke about the event at last week’s Village Board meeting.
The event, which began in 2005, took place on another beautiful Fall day last month.
Trustee Brian Bogan, who is also president of Waterville First, which runs the event, said several food vendors sold out.
He thanked Main Street Garage for providing most of the cost for the $5,000 fireworks show that ended the day’s activities.
Mayor Gene Ostrander thanked those involved, including the Village’s DPW crew, for setup and cleanup.
Also during the 28-minute meeting, the audit for Village Court was approved. Ostrander did the review.
DPW Superintendent Jamie Bechy said one bid, from Parks Paving, was received for work on South Elmwood between White and Putnam streets.
The Board accepted the bid of $57,384, which is covered by state funds.
Bechy said new rules require the signs notifying drivers of railroad tracks need to be replaced and some others added to alert drivers to the tracks.
