Contests Set For Some Board Of Ed Seats

Voters in the Waterville and Clinton Central School Districts will have choices next month in choosing members of their Board of Education.


In WCS, three people filed to run for the two seats up this year. Board member Linda Hughes is running again, but board member Mark Mowrey is not running for another three-year term.


Also running for the two seats are David Poyer of Deansboro and Jason Acker of Waterville. The two candidates with the highest votes will start a three-year term July 1.


In Clinton, two seats are also up for grabs with three people running. Board members Melinda Leising and Sam Catterson are running for new terms.


Also submitting a petition to run for a three-year term is Dr. Lyndsey Bauer.


In Brookfield Central School, board member Valerie Nolan is running for another five-year term unopposed on the ballot.


Madison Central School has two seats on the ballot and two board members running for re-election. Jessica Clark and Jennah Turner are running for new terms.
