Clinton Pool Seeks Grants For Repairs

The Town of Kirkland Board met in-person Wednesday evening to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution supporting the Clinton Youth Foundation's grant application for improvements and repairs to the Jack Boynton Pool.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing Town Supervisor Bob Meelan to accept funds from the federal American Rescue Plan on behalf of the Town of Kirkland.


The Board approved a resolution determining the proposed actions for the Clinton Arena Reconstruction are Type II in compliance with NYS SEQR Act.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing the issuance of a $650,000 serial bond to finance the reconstruction and improvements to the Clinton Arena.


The next Town of Kirkland Board meeting is scheduled for July 14.


The Fireworks display was held July 4 without a parade.


The first quarter 2021 Sales Tax was received in full for $412,306.


A letter was received from a resident complimenting the updates in the Kirkland Town Park.


Traffic on White Street brought several citizens to the meeting to voice their concerns.
