Clinton Adopts 2026-27 Budget

Village of Clinton residents will see an increase of $1.96 per assessed $1,000 in their village tax bill this year.
At last week’s meeting, Mayor Elizabeth Tantillo and trustees adopted the 2026-27 budget of $4.2 million.
The amount raised by property taxes will increase about $140,000 to balance the budget. The tax rate will increase to $11.67 per assessed $1,000.
Tantillo said that comes to the eighth lowest in Oneida County.
Water rates will also increase in October, the first hike in three years.
The Readiness to Serve rate will go from $35 to $70.
Usage rates will go up $1 per thousand cubic feet inside the Village and $2 outside.
An April 2027 increase in usage will bring those up $2 and $4 ...
