CCS School Board Thanks Retirees

The Clinton Central Schools Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss new business.


CCS Superintendent Christopher Clancy began his report by thanking the CCSD Foundation for a donation.


Middle School Principal Amie Johnson was celebrated for receiving her Doctorate of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Educational Leadership.


Clancy thanked and congratulated Linda McHarris and Virginia Saville on their retirements.


Clancy then welcomed Kyle Taranto, Laren Bennati, and Sarah Snediker as the new District hires.


Nineteen student applications were received for the Student-Ex Officio Board position.


Some applicants will interview with Clancy and members of the Board before the appointment is expected to be made June 24.


The Student Ex-Officio position will begin in July.


The Board held a discussion about the New York State Bell-to-Bell device ban.


Students will be restricted from having electronic devices from the beginning of the school day through the end of the school day, including lunch breaks.
