After a recent video of an unfortunate fight between several young men went viral locally, the Church of Christ Uniting and the Village of Richfield Springs stepped up to show their support against bullying.

A prayer vigil was held in person at the church and online Oct. 12.

Taking it one step further, the church and the village collaborated to organize a Unity Day during October's National Bullying Prevention Month.

Thanks to volunteers, the village trees, businesses, people and the school were decked out in orange to show support for the idea that bullying and violence must stop and that our children are not alone.

Church of Christ Uniting's pastor and leader of the effort, Rev. Christine Mitchell agreed, "Kindness, inclusion and acceptance make the world a better place."
