Budgets All Pass

School budgets for 2026-27 passed around the region, including locally.


Waterville Central School District’s budget passed 230 to 66.


Voters also approved buying new buses 233-62.


Elected to the Board of Education for a three-year term were Justin Barth, 245 votes; Stephen Stanton, 199 votes and Pete Casatelli with 82 write-in votes.


Approval was given to spend up to $250,000 from the Capital Reserve Fund for furniture, equipment, and instructional technology 241- 52.


The budgets for Waterville Public Library and C.W. Clark Memorial Library both passed.


Two candidates were elected as trustees on the WPL Board.


Debra Olin received 222 votes and Judith Kemp-Barnes received 261 votes.


Clinton Central School re-elected three Board of Education members.


Taking new three-year terms are Rachael Clark with 450 votes; Patrick LaVeck with 439 and Sam Catterson with 448.


CCS’s budget passed 462- 82 and voters supported using Capital Reserve funds to make improvements, including at the softball and baseball fields, 470-76.


The budget for the Kirkland Town Library passed 466-76.


Brookfield’s budget passed 84-45.


Valerie Nolan was elected to a five-year Board term with 100 votes and Isaac Hafelin was elected to the three-year term with 96 votes.


Madison Central School’s budget also passed.
