Residents of the Waterville Central School District voted this week on the proposed 2025-26 budget.
At last week’s WCS Board of Education meeting, most of the 30 minutes of public session was taken up reviewing the $23 million spending plan. If approved this week, the tax levy will increase 2 percent.
WCS Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Spring reviewed the budget and its impact.
She said despite what had been proposed by the state, there was no increase this year in Foundation state aid.
Still, WCS will provide for an elementary summer enrichment program and opportunity for Junior High students to recover credits.
