Budget, Board Results

Mount Markham School District voters Mount Markham school budget passed with an 82% approval rating.


Mount Markham CSD residents approved the budget 265-60.


The library levy passed 276-47.


District residents re- elected Tom Huxtable to the Board of Education.


Elisa Gigliotti will join the Board for three-year terms.


The Richfield Springs Central School budget passed 140-52.


The bus proposition passed 141-51.


Incumbent Board member Nancy Duevel was re-elected with 156 votes.


With 11 write-in ballots cast, Scot Mondore has been re-elected to the other open board seat.


Brookfield Central School District voters turned down the proposed budget last week 70- 68.


Superintendent Ron Pavlus said last week he and the Board are examining what the next steps will be.


It is possible to put the budget up for a revote either as the original or revised June 18.


If it is turned down again or there is no second vote, BCS would operate for next year under a contingency budget.


Voters changed the look of the Board of Education.


Julie Wratten defeated longtime Board member Jeff Beehm 79- 58.
