Brookfield Resident

Former NBA player Carmelo Anthony, who led Syracuse University to its only men’s basketball championship in 2003, bought a 58-acre property in Brookfield.
Yes, that Brookfield.
Anthony posted a video of himself riding around the property on a four-wheeler and saying he bought what he named Stay Me7O Farm as a sanctuary for his family.
Anthony paid $680,000, according to his Facebook page.
The property includes a small pond, where in his video Anthony wraps up his tour of the place barbecuing next to it and calling it the crown jewel of the place.
Also on the property is a farmhouse built in the early 1800s, cabins, a chalet and the pond stocked with fish.
As many of Anthony’s Facebook followers pointed out, the colors of Brookfield Central School are blue and orange, same as SU and the NY Knicks, another team Anthony played for during his career.
