Brookfield Makes 2021 Appointments

The Town of Brookfield Board met Jan. 11 for its 2021 reorganizational meeting.

Some members attended at the Town Hall and others took part via conference call.


Board member Jeff Mayne was appointed deputy supervisor. Mark Zediker was appointed deputy Highway superintendent.


Dan McCoach was reappointed chairman of the Planning Board. Sharon Woolsey was appointed deputy town clerk.


Charles Schmidt was appointed Codes Enforcement Officer. Elizabeth Stalter was reappointed town historian. Gordon Baker was appointed Dog Control officer.


Salary for the town supervisor was set at $8,280 and for council members at $2,294.50 per year.


This year the town will pay 70 percent of health insurance costs for eligible employees.


The Highway Superintendent can spend up to $3,000 on equipment, tools and repairs without prior approval by the Board.


Members of the Brookfield Town Park Committee are David VanNort, Jeff Mayne, Paula Crespo, Heather VanNort, Mike Head and Diane Head.
