Brookfield Central School named its top academic students for the Class of 2025.
Stephenie Brean, daughter of Dawn Brean of West Edmeston, is this year’s Valedictorian.
Brean has an overall weighted average of 98.14 and plans to attend Long Island University to major in Veterinary Technology with a track in Pre-Veterinary/Pre-DVM.
Brean has been involved in many activities while at Brookfield.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, Varsity Club, New Visions, FFA, Yearbook, Soccer, Basketball, Softball, Student Council, and Envirothon.
Delaney Karn, daughter of Terri and Sean Karn of West Edmeston, is this year’s Salutatorian.
Karn has an overall weighted average of 96.88. She plans on attending Utica University for Nursing to become a Registered Nurse.
Karn has been an active member of Brookfield Central.
She took part in school musicals, Varsity Club, New Visions, FFA, Soccer, Basketball, Softball, National Honor Society, Yearbook, Envirothon, and Student Council.
BCS Superintendent Ron Pavlus said Brean and Karn and Delaney are excellent role models for the rest of the Brookfield students.
“Both are active in many groups and clubs while maintaining high academic standards in their challenging classes, including New Visions. They have been close friends from their early elementary years.
“Both support and encourage each other to do their best. It is only fitting that Stephenie and Delaney graduate together at the top of
their class,’’ he said.
