BCSD Search Down To Three

The search for Brookfield Central School’s next superintendent is down to three candidates.
At last week’s BCS Board of Education meeting Board President Valerie Nolan gave an update on the search.
After reviewing initial interviews with 13 qualified candidates, Board members selected six for them to interview.
The first interviews were done by Oneida-Herkimer- Madison BOCES Superintendent Dr. Patricia Kilburn.
After Board members interviewed the six chosen, Nolan said they selected three for the next round of interviews.
Those will be done this month with the goal of having the person start after July 1 and by the beginning of September.
Who the final candidates are will remain confidential; only the person who agrees to take the job will become known.
Also during the meeting Business Manager Tiffany Lopesz reviewed the $8.5 million budget voters will decide on next week.
