Arrests Made In WCS Theft

According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department, two teens have been arrested due to involvement in a burglary Nov. 28, 2025, at Waterville Junior-Senior High School.

School officials called OCSO when they returned from Thanksgiving break Dec. 1 to find a classroom window had been broken and their concession stand had been damaged.

Members of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office Patrol division, Forensic Identification Unit and Juvenile Aid Unit responded to the scene to investigate.

Camera footage from the school was reviewed, and suspects were identified with the cooperation and assistance from the school community as two 15-year-old male juveniles from the area.

As a result of the investigation, one of the juveniles was charged with two counts of Criminal mischief in the third degree (a class E Felony).

In addition both of the juveniles are being charged each with two counts of Burglary in the third degree (a class D Felony), Petit larceny (a class A Misdemeanor), and Criminal tampering in the third degree (a class B Misdemeanor).

All of the stolen property has been recovered and returned to the school in good condition.

The names of the juveniles will not be released due to their ages.

Both juveniles were released to their parents after being issued appearance tickets which refer them to Oneida County Probation.
