Area Historian Writes Book About Valley Strike

"Women, Immigrants, and the Working-Class Battle in Little Falls, New York: The Textile Strike of 1912-1913" is the first non-fiction book to comprehensively reconstruct, examine, and analyze the events of the strike in Little Falls.


Author J.N. Cheney, through Algora Publishing, researched the book that examines police violence, class struggles, free speech and other aspects of the struggle.


Cheney is a historian based in the Mohawk Valley.


He has had numerous columns in the West Winfield Star.
