Amazing Run

Waterville senior Danny Casatelli, shown here running at a home cross country meet for the Eagles, placed second in the state’s Class D cross country championships Saturday.

Casetelli was 12 seconds behind the first-place finisher and, as the top finisher for Section Three, led the section to a third-place finish out of 10 sections at the Queensbury High School meet.

The next Section Three finisher was 18th.

Out of all the boys in the state who competed in all the classes, Casatelli finished 25th out of 488 runners.
