BCS Pleased With First Two Months


At last week’s Brookfield Central School Board of Education meeting, students and staff were given thanks for a good start to the 2020-21 year.

Principal Carrie Smith reported on the opening days of school and how things have been going. She said they have been going very well with students, saying they have been great.

She also reported on the student teachers from Colgate University.

Superintendent Jim Plows discussed the possibility of the district needing to go to full remote learning if a number of employees are unable to report to work.

Plows said if employees need to be quarantined, there might not be enough substitute instructors available. Plows explained how this has happened at other districts as teachers, and in some districts, bus drivers needed to be quarantined.
