Last month Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corp moved into their new substation in Oriskany Falls. Mayor Steve Jeffers helped the village obtain a Barton Fund grant to renovate a storage building behind Village Hall. The station will be staffed 24 hours a day seven days a week and cover the southern end of COCVAC’s territory plus assist on calls in Kirkland as needed. Looking over the new facility were ambulance board member Frank Coots, board member and county legislator Colin Idzi, assistant chief Thomas Meyers, crew member Belladonna Sims, crew member Luda Hance and chief Adam Shaver.
