Under coronavirus regulations for school budget votes this year, each ballot was hand counted and tallied rather than added up by a voting machine.
In a change made Monday, ballots in all school districts are due by mail or drop off by 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, a week extra added. Gov. Andrew Cuomo made the change so all ballots can be counted.
Local districts Clinton, Waterville and Brookfield intended to count them starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, but the new deadline could push those results to next week.
Check out the Waterville Times Facebook page for how budgets and board candidates fared in these districts and when results will be known.
