National Praise For Clinton

Noah Terrell’s poster contains splashes of color and a pretty good drawing of a person amidst his message.

“Thank you doctors and nurses’’ reads the creation of the Clinton Elementary School third grader.

Noah, his older sister Willow and Daniel, Lauren and Caroline Gus made signs thanking healthcare and essential workers. The kids, all students at Clinton Elementary School, are also members of the Youth Group at the Clinton United Methodist Church.

Youth Group coordinator Courtney Gus said a little sign from her neighbor, a retired physician, started her thinking about a project for the kids. At first, the idea included just her dead-end street in Clinton.

Then Gus thought, hey, why not go bigger? “It just clicked that this was an idea the Youth Group could do,’’ she said.
