Number of Thermal Wells Discussed By WCS Board


The test wells for geothermal energy at the Waterville Junior-Senior High School showed that switching to the natural energy is possible.

At last week’s Waterville Central School Board of Education meeting, members heard an update on the project. District residents will vote on the project in the spring, tentatively set for March 5.

The entire Capital Project will convert the building to geothermal heat and cooling, replace the turf field at Brothertown Stadium and replace the lights at both schools to LED. The board will determine the project and set a voting date at their Jan. 14 meeting.
