The Genesis Group of the Mohawk Valley Region recognized the community accomplishments of three local men recently.
At the group’s 19th annual meeting, Brian Bogan of Waterville and John Calidonna of Clinton both received a Joseph R. Carucci Legacy Award. They were among five people and the Remsen Barn Fest to receive the honor.
The award recognizes people who, in the same way the late Carucci did, contribute to their community. Carucci was the founder of the Genesis Group.
Bogan was recognized as a retired educator who taught at Waterville for a number of years and is now involved in numerous community organizations in Waterville.
Calidonna was recognized for the community support provided in Clinton through his business, Clinton Tractor.
At the 14th annual Celebration of Education, Waterville Central School District Superintendent, Charles Chafee received an Outstanding Educator Award from the Genesis Group.
