The 71-year-old man who robbed the Berkshire Bank in Oriskany Falls in May will spend the next 10 years in jail.
Walter Parker of West Carthage was sentenced to 10 years last week after he pled guilty to the crime earlier this fall. Law enforcement called Parker a serial bank robber; he had spent 11 years in prison for four other bank robberies.
Authorities said Parker stole money and threatened bank workers with a gun before he escaped. His DNA matched that on clothing left near the scene.
