Work Done At Oriskany Falls Site


Oriskany Falls Mayor Steve Jeffers reported that the federal Environmental Protection Agency is finished backfilling and putting up a fence around the old Mill site.

Also at the Village Board’s August meeting, Jeffers requested that the Village repair the window upstairs, Board members decided to wait until next year.

Jeffers said he was invited to a Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corp meeting. They are requesting funding.

Jeffers recommended hiring an engineer for drainage and reconstruction of College, Cottage and Cooper streets. The Board agreed to put out a Request for Proposal for hiring an engineer to do preliminary engineering of those streets.

Trustee Joanna Eisenhut reported on the Summer Recreation program. There were about 60 children signed up. Because of a problem with supplies from last summer, all the totes of Youth & Recreation supplies will be stored on shelves in the Village Hall garage.
