The Sangerfield Zoning Board of Appeals has scheduled a public hearing Monday, Sept. 23 to consider the application for a solar-energy system on Brothertown Road.
The 7 p.m. public hearing will be followed by a meeting of the ZBA to consider the application. Both are at Sangerfield Town Hall.
DG New York has requested a Special Use Permit to operate a 5-megawatt facility on the west side of Brothertown Road. Houses line the east side of the road between Route 20 and Sanger Hill Road.
The company’s application is on file in the Town Clerk’s office and available for anyone to see during the Clerk’s office hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
