The Village of Waterville will replace a crossing guard with an electronic sign.
At last week’s Village Board meeting, the board decided it would no longer put a person at the corner of East Bacon Street and Route 12 as has been required for years. Data showed that few, if any, children crossed alone to get to Memorial Park School. The handful of kids who crossed there were accompanied by a parent.
