At the annual Coach Jean Vicks Field Hockey camp at Hamilton College, 85 athletes from ages 5 to 17 took part in learning the skills of the game. Vicks coached at Clinton Central School until her death from breast cancer. The camp is organized by Christina Buschmann, a CCS field hockey alumna, and includes many other former Warriors among the women who helped coach. Major sponsors of food and beverages were Hannaford of Clinton and Chobani Yogurt, and the media sponsor was the Waterville Times. Vicks was an inspiration to so many. Many were honored to have been coached by or to have coached with such an amazing person who extended her wealth of knowledge, energy, courage and strength passionately.
