Garden Party


A large turnout at Memorial Park School last Wednesday night helped the Brothertown Optimists Club celebrate the 100th birthday of Optimists International. The club provided hamburgers and hotdogs, chips and drinks to families who came, and ice cream and cake for dessert. The Optimists sponsor a number of activities in the Waterville Central School District, including Biddy Basketball, WCS Student of the Month and a varsity soccer tournament in September. Optimist member Larry Stockwell was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year, given a plaque by Dave O’Brien. Also that night MPS students showed some of their projects done this year. Danny Casatelli’s project showed the amount of sugar in popular drinks, and Summer Ross made a collage of her favorite things.
